The DIN 2353 ring fitting , also known as the EO (Ermeto Original) fitting, is used to connect rigid tubes safely and reliably in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This type of fitting uses a shear ring, also called a compression ring, which is placed on the outside surface of the tube in a 24-degree cone and is compressed against the seat of the fitting when tightening the nut. This creates a tight joint that prevents leaks and provides a connection resistant to vibration and high pressures. The type of connection is safe against leaks and resistant to loads due to changes in curvature, anticipatory impulses and tube breakage.

There are 3 varieties of DIN 2353 fittings depending on the pressures they will work with. Low pressure LL series up to 50 bar, light L series up to pressures of 250 bar and the heavy S series that can work up to 800 bar.
