A non-return valve , also known as a check valve or check valve, is a device used in piping and duct systems to allow a flow of fluid (liquid or gas) to flow in one direction and prevent it from flowing in the opposite direction. . These valves are designed to prevent fluid backflow and keep it in the desired direction.
Non-return valves operate by using an internal mechanism that allows fluid to flow freely in one direction (forward flow) and automatically closes when flow is detected in the opposite direction (reverse flow). This can be achieved through different mechanisms, such as a gate, disc, ball, flap, diaphragm or other devices that block the passage of fluid when the pressure or flow in the undesired direction exceeds a certain threshold.
