How to choose the right valve for my installation
Given the multitude of valves on the market, multiple factors must be taken into account when selecting the most suitable one:
- Fluid: The type of material that will pass through the valve (water, steam, corrosive chemicals, gas, sludge, etc.)
- Function: Flow control, open-close mechanism, or backflow prevention
- Pressure and temperature: The valve must withstand the maximum pressure and temperature conditions of your system.
- Material: The valve material (stainless steel, brass, PVC, etc.) must be compatible with the fluid to prevent corrosion.
- Pipe size and connection type: Check the nominal diameter and connection type (threaded, flanged, etc.) you need.
