An industrial valve is a device that controls the flow of fluids (liquids or gases) through pipes, by opening, closing, or partially obstructing the conduits.

Each type of valve has its advantages and disadvantages, and choosing the right valve depends on the specific application. It's important to consider factors such as fluid type, pressure, temperature, and the desired function when selecting a valve.

Below are the types of valves you can find on our website:

Ball valve . It is used to open or close the flow. It has a perforated ball that rotates to allow or block the passage of fluid.

Butterfly valve . Its function is to regulate the flow by means of a disc that rotates on an axis to control the amount of fluid that circulates.

Needle valve . Ensures precise control of fluid pressure and flow within a pipe thanks to a fine needle.

Gate valve or guillotine valve . It is used to isolate sections of pipe, not to regulate flow. It has a sliding gate to open or close the passage.

Check valve. Allows flow in only one direction and prevents backflow. Used in pumps and other systems where backflow could cause problems.

Variety of materials

The choice of material for an industrial valve is crucial, as it directly influences its performance, durability, and compatibility with the fluid it handles. Selecting the appropriate material will depend on factors such as temperature, pressure, fluid corrosivity, and abrasion level.

Carbon steel . It is used in low- to medium-pressure applications involving water, air, and steam. It is susceptible to corrosion in humid environments or with aggressive chemicals.

Stainless steel . Guarantees a wide range of uses, including chemical, food, and pharmaceutical products.

Brass . It is used in environments with water, air, and non-aggressive chemicals.

Plastic . It is commonly used in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries, although it has less resistance to high temperatures and pressures.
