Polyethylene protective cover

The polyethylene protective sleeve protects against rubbing between hoses or against the machinery chassis, preventing punctures due to wear and maintaining the flexibility of the hose assembly.

It comes as a thick tape wound in a spiral that is placed over hoses or cables. It is the most common format for hydraulic systems.

Advantages of polyethylene

High impact resistance: Absorbs and dissipates the energy of impacts without cracking, even in cold climates.

Abrasion resistance: Withstands continuous rubbing against rough surfaces (asphalt, metal, rocks) without wearing out quickly.

Low coefficient of friction: Allows objects rubbing against the cover to "slide" instead of getting stuck, reducing structural damage.

Chemical inertness: It is resistant to acids, oils and fuels, making it suitable for heavy industrial environments.
