Block valves are pneumatically piloted devices for controlling the movement of a cylinder.
Mounted directly at the inlet and outlet of the cylinder, they allow the cylinder stroke to be blocked in the event of a pressure drop in the piloting.
They are used as safety systems: in case of emergency stop, pipe breakage or lack of air, they block the devices moving through the cylinder, preventing damage to them or risks to the operators.
It can be used to stop a cylinder in any intermediate position if necessary.
