A refrigeration quick plug is a component used in refrigeration systems, especially in air conditioning and industrial refrigeration applications. Its primary function is to allow quick connection and disconnection of refrigerant lines without losing refrigerant or compromising system integrity. It can be used to connect and disconnect with one hand.
The coolant is usually used mostly water, glycol or in some cases thermal oil. Widely used in the industry where plastic molds or injections are made. They are characterized by greater resistance to heating and cooling of liquids and high performance while maintaining small dimensions.
Its key advantage is resistance to the effects of, among others, glycol, hot water or thermal oil, as well as other substances that are often handled with injection molding machines. These quick plugs consist of two parts: the male plug or adapter and the female socket or also called plug. The male part has a nipple that inserts into the female socket, and they usually have a locking slide that secures the connection. This allows the cooling fluid to flow efficiently and prevents leaks.
These quick plugs (some models) are typically designed with a valve mechanism that opens and closes securely to prevent refrigerant leaks. Other models do not have a valve. They are useful in situations where maintenance, repairs or refrigerant recharge are needed in a refrigeration system.
They are built with the Body in nickel-plated brass, the spring and balls in stainless steel and the Joints in NBR-VITON. Service temperature -15 / 125 ºC, and in some cases it can reach 200ºC.
