A Fig. 241 316 stainless steel male-female NPT reducer is a threaded fitting used to join two pipes or tubes of the same material but different diameters, creating a reduction in flow rate. It consists of a conical piece with a male thread at one end and a female thread at the other end, with an internal diameter decreasing along the piece.

Typical applications include the food and pharmaceutical industries, chemical industries, oil and gas industries, water treatment, irrigation and sprinkler systems.
