A STABILUS 6146SI 80N furniture spring is a shock absorber consisting of a cylinder and a stem. The cylinder is filled with nitrogen, with varying amounts of gas to create a specific force. When the furniture is moved, the gas is compressed and generates an opposing force, behaving like a spring.
