STABILUS BLOC-O-LIFT

The Bloc or Lift series groups together lockable gas springs, with which furniture and doors can not only be adjusted comfortably, but can also be kept in a specific position safely and continuously.

Continuous locking is achieved by a piston valve system that separates the two pressure chambers of the gas-tight spring. When unlocked, the spring acts as a shock absorber, providing a smooth, controlled force during movement. When the valve is closed, the gas spring gently locks in the desired position.

It is often used to adjust the backrest of swivel chairs when a slight bounce is needed for ergonomic reasons.

The standard BLOC-O-LIFT is gas filled and installed with the stem pointing downward.

It applies in situations of:

  • Elastic lock for backrest adjustment of swivel chairs or massage chairs
  • Medical stool height adjustment with foot release
  • General: Elastic locking of elements on which no additional load other than the dead load must be supported.
